King Sponk of the Greedies. For hundreds of years the greedies under King Sponk’s watchful eye have raided other bogs “borrowing, recycling and composting all manner of food, plants, wood, water and minerals.” While King Sponk claims he is doing his best to save the Bogs the other Kings call it outright theft. This has created many skirmishes on the bog borders. Tugs of war, water balloon fights, and arm wrestling contests break out with frequency and no one sees any end in store. This may be the root of the saying in English “Neither a borrower nor a lender be!” because if it’s a greedie you will never hear the end of it either way!
