When the AFS was disbanded on 31 March 1968 the Goddesses were returned to the Home Office Stores . In 1971 Glamorgan Fire Service bought four emergency pumps from the Home Office and converted them into foam tenders for service at Port Talbot, Penarth, Barry and Pontypridd. The white over red livery was a characteristic of some of the Glamorgan fleet.
